It is rather linier in play, with a couple of real overkill moments if you are unlucky to trigger them. Its saving grace is the dialog which can be a play on certain books to game events. I rate it 3 stars as a time waster when you wish to pass the time, but it verges on tedious when skilling troll forge levellers. If GoG are doing a big sale on it then buy and enjoy as it isn’t an awful lemon, but if its full or even half price, avoid!
