So, i´ve played this game a while ago and everyone who knows baldur gate 2 and similar games will find himself quite at home after some learing and fail and trying. The world is interesting, getting your own ship and invade other ships or sink them is good too. But the i swear this game has the most boring story somehow. Chasing the main antagonist all over the world is soo time consuming and your helpers aren´t making that job easier. Because they have the most radical attitute to deal with. What that means? Well, imagine having and racist an communist and a religious fanatic in your party and now try to complete quests without making anyone one of them upset or mad at you. I will drive you crazy. Although there are luckly many others which are easier to handle and you even can make beside your main characters, other lesser ones to help him. But they of course have no quest lines whatsoever. Another thing that isn´t good are the quests. Which are really a lot and sadly there are only very few ones who are actually great. Like the one, in which you get the chance to free a dragon, which helps you later in a boss fight, while you make the tribe angry because they enslaved and abused him to have further control over their magic. Is so rattling good.^^ But the main problem is the ending. Well i don´t want to spoil you that one. But after that, i didn´t considered to start a new game+ because i saw no reason in this. Even tho i would have got powerful advantages. In short i would describe this game as a good one. But not for every gamer, more like for the developer themselfs. If you have the same or a similar mindset like them, you will like it too. Also i would like to menton, that it worked without any problems and smooth. Not errors or crashes. Btw, don´t romance that religious girl (yeah i don´t know her name anymore). She is a cheating one!
I really tried to love this game, since the setting is kinda unique. It really feels that you fight for your own life. But the worst part is the fighting system. It´s annoying when you´re out of neurons and getting enough of them is too hard to manage. Plus, the controls are arkward at best. Oh and try not to get hit once, you´re getting stun locked for a brief moment. Wich isn´t bad when fighting one enemy at a time. But against multiple enemies. They will drain your life faster then you will start the game. Also the easiest difficulty level means absolutly nothing when you make it past chapter one. It gets harder and harder. And you can do nothing about it. Really, is it so hard to make normal games? Without beeing forced to cheat or wasting time to collect items i don´t want nor i think they would be necessary. I hate wasting my time, with doing optimal stuff. But here you´re forced to do it. If you want to see the end. So i can only recommend this game to either very persistent or lucky gamers.
Wer Civilization schon kennt wird sich hier recht schnell zurecht finden. Die Handlung und Grafik geht in Ordnung. Aber die Spiel-Schwierigkeit ist ein Witz! Kein Spaß, selbst bei Leicht ist man für die KI nichts anderes als Freiwild. Aja und versucht es nicht einmal mit Diplomatie! Sobald der KI-Gegner dich militärisch überholt, wirft er dir alle möglichen Kriegsverbrechen vor und erklärt dir einfach so den Krieg. Vergessen sind dabei die Handels und Nichtangriffspakte. Und wenn du das Pech hast und mehrere zur selben Zeit trifft, werden sie dir alle unverholen, den Krieg erklären! Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass der Gegner rasend Einheiten produziert, während du einfach keine Chance hast. Besonders dann wenn du nur eine Stadt hast. Natürlich war selbst das, noch immer nicht alles. Denn neben den anderen Fraktionen, gibt es die einheimische Tierwelt. Ekelhafte Riesenkäfer die überall ihre Bauten haben und von denen manche Einheiten am Anfang noch gar nicht besiegt werden können. Bei denen funktioniert kurioserweise der leichte Schwierigkeitsgrad, weil sie nicht sofort angreifen. Wenn überhaupt nur dann wenn man sie angreift, am Anfang zumindest. Eigentlich schade wie man ein relativ interessantes Spiel so verbocken kann.
