THIEF: Definitive Edition

I like it...

Thief pleasantly surprised me – even though it’s a reboot with a new story, the game retains the atmosphere of the original titles. They revived the classic and gave it a modern control scheme, which feels smooth and natural. I really enjoyed Garrett’s fluid movement, and even though I must have picked a million pockets and drawers, it never got boring – it actually had a certain charm. The sudden action-packed escape sequences pulled me out of the otherwise slow-paced stealth experience, which felt a bit jarring. The city is less “steampunk” than I would have liked, especially compared to the original series, but it still feels believable and atmospheric. Visually, the game holds up well even after all these years – it still manages to draw you in. If I had to nitpick, there are a few small bugs, and one mission felt too empty – probably due to its large size and lack of enemies. Still, I’d definitely recommend Thief – it still has a lot to offer for fans of stealth gameplay.
