


Always online DRM in GoG release is a disgrace. Deleting user's reviews just because they tell the truth is a best way to go bankrupt for a store that lives on positive user attitude. any user can get any GoG release from torrents for free or buy cheaper from Stem. People pay money to GoG because they are thinking that GoG is doing (was doing) right things - was trusting its clients, was thinking about their convenience, was providing games that can't be disabled by a single click from publisher.

No saves mid-level makes you start from the very beginning if you quit the game. There are checkpoint within the level but they only work within a play sessions. To bad I don't have garantied 45-60 minutes that I can spare for a game, most of the time it's 10-15 minute sessions that are not enough to complete the level and this frustrates as hell. And it's not a bug but intentional feature by game developers.


Demo shows a gigantic leap in quality compared to 1st game but still have several same flaws improvements/Good: - Level design (at least demo level) is quite good. Map is big and it actually makes an impression that you are roaming in location, not an unrealistic maze - game have verticality now (about at the level of Build3d games - Duke Nukem 3d, Blood, Shadow Warrior) it maybe only valid for demo but still - Its quite interesting to search for secrets - Sound is quite good Bad: - Sprites are bad (better than in 1st game but still). They look flat and the design mediocre. Good sprites in classic shooters were to hide their flatness as much as possible but here they are not even trying - game (at least demo level) is to dark and as a result not that easy to navigate and fight in. Dark areas can be a good gameplay mechanics but they should not be 70%+ of the map - shooting mechanics is mediocre, guns don't provide that much impact and you spend most of the time in the whole demo just using shotgun. - enemies are boring, or at least mostly placed in not in a very interesting way across the demo level. There were only 3 interesting firefights trough the whole map. For example 1st level of Doom 2 gives more and its at least 10 times smaller

Worst light sabres in any game ever (except for the 2nd part of Force Unleashed) - They are basically not a lethal weapon but sort of rubber toy for kids designed in a way that no one get harmed if hit by one ( You need 10+ hits to kill a basic enemy. )
