Cant be compared with settlers 2 of course (personally, I really don’t like the way system in settlers 2 because it seriously takes your freedom), but this game started a whole new era. The balancing of this game is almost perfect; therefore it is just purely made for multiplayer gaming and fighting big battles. Even after more than 15 years, there is still a considerably large community which can be found within the new “alternative lobby” every day. There are several community based fixes for this game.
