To be honest, before the release of SS4, I completed every game in the series just to be sure that I know basics about this universe. And now, after almost 20 hours in Serious Sam 4, I should warn you that this game feels like a fan-made spin-off of the series. It feels empty, soulless and ancient. Not "ancient" like another old-school series, but like another cashgrab from the developers that really don't care about Sam's future anymore. So many bugs, low-res textures and glitches after several patches, I saw all of this by myself. But all this is my own opinion, so how about financial success? Yep, the game failed to achieve good numbers, and now Devovler bought all Croteam. Will we see another Serious Sam? If it will be like SS4, I hope not. RIP Stone Sam....
Cyberpunk 2077 has a good, maybe even very good main story about people, corporations, relationships between people, destiny and the irony of our life. But also I should tell that this kind of story I would much prefer in another form of media like a movie or a comic book. Because playing this game is so much pain in some ways. After you completed few fast-paced story missions you can see again and again so beautiful, but also so boring and pointless open world that reminds me why I didin't want to play another Far Cry or something like this. So generic and empty open world in 2021 is a real disappointment at best: "Camps with bad guys" - check, broken AI of civilians - check, no real police chases - check, car traffic is a mess - check, few good side quests - check, poor loot system - check and etc. I really wanted to love this game, but at this moment main story of the game is the only reason why you should spend your money. And also not a full price,
To be honest, I liked that DLC, that was a good way to revisit Dying Light. But there is no content for now. No custom weapons and skins for your character, no proper introducing into Hellraid lore (just 10 notes, just 10, ladies and gentlemen). Mission system is just hilarious. All you need to do is to kill monsters, push the door, kill monsters. push the magic stone and the push the door. That's all for about 2,5-3 hours. They need to update this addon with new weapons. skins. monsters and etc. Because without their promise abount "Update in late September", I really wanted to give this "half baked piece of Dying Light but with swords" only 2 stars for little fun that I have.
After replaying all game in fanchise one after another, I think new Metro isn't my cup of tea. It has a good story and beatiful landscapes, but other parts of the game and mechanics feels weak. Maybe with another entry in the Metro franchise we will see a better version of this half open-world mechanics.
