This game is an OG and one of the best games ever desinged. Do you want to take control of the future of humanity, while going toe-to-toe with some complex factions and getting rockin' epic philosophical sound bytes and video clips for your researches and special projects along the way? Then this is the game for you. Seriously, every single part of this game is so well-crafted, clearly designed with love, despite being decades old it still really holds up.
Tried to get a copy of this game for each of my friends while it was on sale for a dollar. GoG rejected my purchase and refused my money because they're absolute morons. I'll have to get the game from Steam now, since GoG isn't an actual store apparently. Game experience completely ruined as I wasn't able to get it for all of my friends to play together. Thought GoG was the better storefront but they're the absolute worst. I recommend avoiding this version and getting it from Steam instead. Apparently they have mods and they don't reject your purchase because you tried to buy "too much" from them. GoG sucks DiK
