Diamond admired by Rockstar Games

The developers at IO Interactive deliberately sought to create the most sensational third-person experience on screen, building upon the hallmarks of their past work. Echoing the cinematic mastery of director Michael Mann in Heat, this interactive rendition amplifies those elements, offering players an immersive and heightened experience. The studio leveraged its expertise in maintaining a certain realism—established in the Hitman series—through ragdoll physics and mature narrative content, complemented by highly cinematic music. This combination contributed to a distinctive and memorable style that would later be reflected in Kane & Lynch. Furthermore, IO Interactive introduced innovative gameplay mechanics that were so effective that Rockstar appropriated them for two of its own titles: Max Payne 3 and GTA V. It is strongly recommended that players experience this atmospheric work firsthand and consider comparing it with the aforementioned titles to appreciate its influence and craftsmanship.

No Man's Sky

Witaj przygodo - od porażki do odysei

Nie sposób nie pochylić głowy przed ogromem pracy, jaki studio Hello Games włożyło w odbudowę i rozwój No Man’s Sky od jego premiery w 2016 roku. To, co kiedyś było grą niespełnionych obietnic, dziś stało się jednym z najbardziej imponujących przykładów twórczej wytrwałości i pasji. Przestrzeń kosmiczna w tej grze to nie tylko tło — to żyjący, nieprzewidywalny, wciągający świat, który kusi odkrywaniem nieznanego i daje autentyczne poczucie samotnej podróży przez nieskończoną galaktykę. Każda planeta to inna historia, każdy system słoneczny to nowa zagadka. I choć technicznie gra nadal bywa nierówna, to jej rdzeń — eksploracja, przetrwanie i rozwój — dostarcza wielkiej, niemal medytacyjnej satysfakcji. Dla nowych graczy mam jednak radę: Trzymajcie się głównego wątku fabularnego. Gra oferuje dziesiątki pobocznych zadań, systemów, aktywności — łatwo się w tym zagubić i zniechęcić, zwłaszcza gdy natrafimy na powtarzalność lub grind. Uważnie planujcie handel, dobór sprzętu i modyfikacji – każda decyzja ma znaczenie. No i pamiętajcie o częstym zapisie — galaktyka bywa kapryśna. No Man’s Sky dziś to coś więcej niż gra. To przypomnienie, że porażka nie musi być końcem – może być początkiem drogi ku czemuś naprawdę niezwykłemu.

System Shock

you'll crawl out of this s$#t?

if you want to experience what it's really like to be totally hounded, this is probably the best presented possibility, in any medium. Big applause for the old/new team who kept a close eye on this mechanic throughout the entire game - this is what really makes it a real phenomenon or, as another might say, a work of art. This is the aspect of immersion that I love the most in games - a player thrown into the middle of a swamp... How will you, insect, get out of it? That's your "little" problem 😊

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Masterpiece

This is one of those titles that as a grandfather I will remember to my grandchildren - the idea of the game, gaining experience, conquering strategic points, it was something magical - on large maps, you really felt like you were taking part in a World War II skirmish, where everyone had a role. I spent the most hours with this title and the rest of the household knew all the slogans that the soldiers threw out, it was funny. As an adult man, finally having the right equipment 😂 (it was freezing on my old computer, but it didn't bother me at all at the time) I will come back to it with the same smile on my face.

it really is a hidden gem - so many possibilities, enough for several titles. The only thing I could complain about is the interface - I accidentally attacked an NPC several times by clicking the wrong button, and it took me a long time to use the task windows. A good way is to save the game frequently - in the options you can set automatic saving, preferably every 2-3 minutes. If you get used to it, you will have a really nice time! ----- naprawdę jest to ukryty klejnot - bardzo wiele możliwości, których starczyłoby na kilka tytułów. Jedynie do której mógłbym się przyczepić jest interfejs - przez przypadek zaatakowałem NPC kilkakrotnie poprzez złe kliknięcie, długi czas zajęła mi obsługa okienek zadań. Dobrym sposobem jest częste zapisywanie rozgrywki - w opcjach można ustawić automatyczny zapis, najlepiej co 2-3 minuty. Jeśli się do tego przyzwyczaisz, to spędzisz naprawdę miło czas!

Rayman 2: The Great Escape

Amazing vision and art!

Around the year 2000, I received this title as a child and the first thing that caught my attention then was the cover, which promised an amazing adventure (an adult cinephile will immediately find an allusion to a certain classic 🙂). Immediately after turning it on, I couldn't get over how this created world looks like - I'm not talking about the graphics, but more about the atmosphere (it's hard to explain in words, the one who played will know what it is) - probably no game of this genre, released at that time on computer - didn't have it! I finished the title practically in one go, regardless of any failures 😊 Excellent narration and heroes - today it will be just as fun, even the young generation 🙂 I recommend it with all my heart!
