Upon launch, the game seems like its good ol' self. But as soon as it's played the lack of the original soundtrack is indeed noticeable, and it really is a shame. This doesn't only affect the background music, but also some sound effects that are either cut short or missing frequencies. Furthermore, the levels are not entirely the same. The way they are organized differs, and some, like the first Bongo hills level has details which i haven't previously encountered when playing the original PS game. The game is still fin to play, as it is a great game, but the missing music, which is a huge part of the experience, is detrimental to the enjoyment.
