Project Warlock II

Avast's worst enemy

The game is very good. Fast paced and shooting is satisfying. However... Avast hates this game. I was trying to run it for an hour. First of all, anytime I tried to start the game, the system would remove the exe file from the folder. After the forth reinstallation, when I run the exe file as Administrator, I couldn't save the game. Finally I had to add the game folder and exe file to Avast exclusions to finally play the game just like anybody else. I won't s**t on the game for it but someone from the crew should look into it.

Project Warlock II Demo

Gameplay wise better than the first

I want to get through with this. Yes, there are bugs in this demo. This is like pre-alpha version. You must expect bugs and unfinished UI. Let's focus on gameplay instead. And the gameplay is great. The game is well paced, fast as I like them. You never rest, new monsters spawns all the time in the paths you've already killed some. Strafing feels good and shooting stuff feels incredibly good. Playing the game (gameplay wise) I had vibes of much more busy Quake 1. However, there is not much use for jumping yet and in the position of the creators I would focus on making jumping important because right now it would not even be implemented and the game would lose nothing. I'm interested how would rocket jumping work in this game. Level design of the demo is fine. The level feels repetitive a little and that was also the case in the OG PW so I'm a little afraid they will continue with this tendency. I see some improvements comparing PW2 to PW but it's still not it for me. Overall I have a good feelings about this one and high hopes. I hope we will be able to play the demo level using 2 other classes later in the future. Cheers.
