The writing is honestly worse than even in Kingmaker, I mean its just atrocious, but the gameplay is quite a bit better and thats why I play these games in the end.
Firstly, I cannot even play the game as the text disappears after just a few menus open and close as I attempt to set policies. The devs seem to be aware of this issue as several people have reported it on the Steam forums, yet nothing has been done. Secondly, the game appears to have an American bias as policies and issues hardly seem to truly reflect the country you play. For example, to reduce illegal immigration in Germany (which only has coast in the North Sea and Baltic Sea) you can create a naval border guard. The game just feels shallow and generic for what little time I can play it. I played some D3 and this just doesnt seem like enough of a different game to justify being a whole new title.
