I liked the story well enough, i liked the characters, i liked the atmosphere. But i found the gameplay quite annoying. Pretty much every level plays the same way. Mow through fodder enemies, then waste all your ammo on a damage sponge boss or two, then curse your lack of ammo for the next wave of fodder enemies. I also found mobs like the panzerhund to be flat out stressful. Overall, if you like mowing through enemies with the occasional damage sponge tossed in the mix, fit within a compelling concept and simple yet entertaining story, you'll probably like this. But it wasn't for me.
