the game itself is good, no worries there. however i'm running it on mediumish settings, with DLSS on, and i fluctuate between 70 and 100 fps. On a pretty top of the line rig with a 3080TI, I7 10700K and all the adequate hardware to fit this rig. mind you, this GPU didn't even exist when cyberpunk 2077 was released, it would hit the markets one year after this game. how ridiculous is that performance on top of the line hardware that's technically futuristic when taking this game's release as a point of reference. i find myself comparing this games' technical aspect to that of the witcher 3. witcher 3 looks better and runs at least twice as good (i wouldn't know exactly i locked it to 144 fps and it never droped under this target framerate) i'm not sure what happened for modern games' performance to drop so drastically, but something definitely happened.
Terrible. You can really feel the game's been rushed, i'm not gonna talk about the disastrous state it was in when it came out, that's been done enough already. But even without considering the bugs and optimization issues, you can see this game was totally rushed. it needed easily one more year of development. - missing tooltips and just lack of overall in game information, that may sound benign but it actually is very crippling for the player, you don't know what weapon attachment fits on what type of weapon before buying it, can't preview items from crafting recipes.. so basically everytime you go to a vendor you have to save before, buy your stuff, see if it fits, reload if it doesn't ( and that's just ONE example of how crippling it is ) - lots of generic content, that's what happens when you rush a game, you fill the blanks asap. - characters weren't developped enough. - balance adjustments or game elements are clearly missing : you get a whole perk tree dedicated to LMGs and shotguns, yet there is only ONE LMG type in game, no iconic version and the only blueprint you can acquire for it is of low quality. which is to say you can't really use LMGs. it's obvious LMGs were supposed to be a part of this game as any other weapon type can be, the devs just didn't have time to implement these. I'm probably gonna stop listing there otherwise it's never gonna end, but i'd jsut say that for almost everything you see in game, you can feel it was rushed because the devs lacked time. you can still feel the original ambition to make a great game here and there, but it's hard to see through all of that rushed content. such a shame
