Ascension to the Throne

Good for wasting some time

I like the general idea behind this game. The game itself however, a bit lacking. The fight sometimes just plain annoying with the enemies just instakilling some of your most valuable men. Moving in thight places will glitch you everywhere. I just walked in the first city through the wall accidently, way before I supposed to be there. I also miss the opportunity to level up at least my named companions, instead of just letting them die as soon as I go a bit higher level area. It also would be nice to sell my old stuff when I buy something new. The level difference between the second and third part of the map, as you go through kind of in a linear fashion, is insane. You cannot play this without saving all the time, because there is no way to know anything about the enemies more then their names, so you must go into every fight in order to learn whos who, then reload. This could have been a very nice game, and it stil worth a try since it's at least cheap.

Miasma Chronicles

Dissapointing

I bought the game because I love turn based tactics. Also, this post-apocaliptic world was unique enough. But as I played, it slowly became clear that the only positive site of this game is the world building. Don't get me wrong, that's an important part, but it's just the fundation. We need a good story and characters too. And while the story is almost there, it's kind of weak, and sometimes stupid. And I just can't relate of any of the characters, they are all purely writen idiot a-holes. Except when they need to be the heroes for the story, in that case they quickly saying something heroic, and continue being idiots... And without spoiling it completly, the ending was the most underwhelming thing I ever experienced in a game so far. The other issue is the technical side of the game. Crashing or freezing at the worst times is just normal. Sometimes walls or floors just don't work as you would expect. Grenades or summoned creatures end up on a different floor. Graphic elements flicking so much on the edge of some area, there should be an epilepsy warning. And the controlls pretty annoying most of the times... Also, does someone know why cost the reload action 1AP while I can switch weapons for free, and by switching them they automatically reloading? Whatever, this was not worth its price...
