Game took around 8 years to make, in that timespan, they did make a visual and hardy installment into the series but at the cost of gameplay time. Story is what you've expect from any cliché mafia movie or book one has seen, but the destruction and visual graphical violence was over the roof for its time. Gun sortiment is basic to medicore and car models is in a good selection for the time periods. With all of this said, the one thing that this title lags is the overall time it takes to complete, you can finish the game is easily 11 hours, if you dont do the side quests. Keep in mind too, that this game is not fully open world, you progress through "chapters", which takes away the feel of freedom. They did release DLCs, that made coming back to the title after completion seem good, but not all of them are good and feels like they tried to sqeeze the last money out of their costumers
A great gem and at a price that's a steal, but only 4 stars as it's not including the expansions for DS and DS2
Oh boy... this game takes me back, i never thought to see this brought back from the dead, but GOG listens to its community ^^ The game is solid, has a nice guided narrator, and is just packed with strategy options and a whole lot of action. If you are lookin' for a alternative Rainbow Six game, set in WW2 this is youre one stop place. I still have my old box copy of the game and expansion, but its not very friendly towards Win 10. But thanks to GOG i can now relive my old teenage experince with this old gem. Give it a try, it deliveres as promised.
