I will say, im not that far in the game yet, but from the few hours ive played it improves on pretty much everything that made the first one so good. its more challenging, theres more to do and the expeditions and salvage missions are really fun with a great crew system. banger game.
It gets rid of most of the deeper RPG mechanics from previous elderscrolls games but greately improves the adventure aspect. Even with dated textures, the atmospere and density of POIs makes up for it and turns it from a good RPG into a great advenure, and if you turn on survival mode, survival game. Sadly, the story and narrative also took a backseat. Combat is still simple but an improvement over Oblivion. If you dont own it yet and/or catch it on sale for 17€, DEFINETLY grabbit on gog.
really fun, lots of content and just a great game! runs well even on my older hardware too :)
