Loop Hero

Fantastic, if limited game

Loop Hero is a lot of fun for what it is, and definitely worth the price. However, don't expect TOO much - it is a pretty limited game, with only so much to do, and rather easily trivialized once you figure out its systems. Not that every game needs to be played forever...

Frostpunk

Slightly Flawed, incredibly Atmospheric

Frostpunk is an exceptional city-building survival game that challenges players to lead a group of survivors in a frozen, post-apocalyptic world, balancing resource management, tough moral choices, and city planning to ensure humanity’s survival. The atmosphere in Frostpunk is simply breathtaking. The game's hauntingly beautiful visuals capture the bleakness of an ice-covered world, with towering snowdrifts and a central generator that serves as a beacon of hope. Gameplay-wise, Frostpunk delivers a rewarding yet punishing challenge. Every decision matters—whether it’s enforcing strict work hours, rationing food, or determining the fate of the sick and homeless. Sadly, it is still not exceptionally complex nor entirely balanced - certain options are just plain better than others, such as extended work hours. Apart from it being not entirely balanced, though, this game is absolutely recommendable - the main 3 reasons for that being the atmosphere, the atmosphere and the atmosphere. I have rarely played a game that conveyed a mood this exceptionally well and it's worth the price just for that, nevermind the engaging city building.
