Cyberpunk 2077

Biggest disappointment ever

The game is the biggest gaming disappointment i have ever had in my gaming life. And i am not talking about the bugs. I didnt even had much bugs on my high end pc. The bugs can be fixed but the problem is with the game it self. I didnt even had unrealistic expectations. I just wanted a deep RPG with lots of choices and consequences and witcher writing. Actually just what the game was marketed as. But what I got was a mediocre linear GTA and loot shooter clone. First and foremost the game is NOT an RPG. Even CDPR calls it no longer an RPG. Its a linear action adventure with almost no choices and even less of them actually matter. The only part with choices and consequences is what they showed in the 2018 Demo. And the endings are just a drop down menu where you can choose which one you want and then have a short unique part. The rest of the game is completely linear. The life paths are a complete joke. It is also quite noticeable that the story is unfinished in many parts. The writing of the main story is not bad but does not reach witcher level. The side quest are even worse. 90% of them are on Ubisoft level where random person X calls you to kill random person Y. They are nothing compared to the witcher. There are some good side quests where some of them even have choices but they are way to rare. The open word is the worst i have ever seen in a game. It feels even more lifeless than the generic Ubisoft open worlds. From a gameplay perspective the game also fails. The loot system is just terrible. It was bad in witcher but in CP2077 it is way worse. While the guns look and sound good the shooting is not fun. The controls are clunky. Most of the enemies are also bullet sponges. There are some good ideas on different playstyles but none of the feels eel thought through to the end. And the game is also completely unbalanced. At the end one good thing. The level design and the overall graphics on ultra with RTX are awesome.
