Played this game a lot back on the PS1 and also played through the PS3 port. Dino Crisis was a Resident Evil clone that simply replaced the zombies with dinosaurs. Enemies are a lot harder to run past since dinosaurs don't slowly shamble around which shakes up the gameplay formula in an interesting way. The main issue with this port is that it lacks the PS1 texture warping which makes some issues even more apparent. Such as the fact character's mouths don't move when talking, or some weird visuals with models deforming in strange ways. It's amazing how much the PS1's texture warping was utilized to mask the technical limitations of the time. Despite the slight loss of charm, this is a great port well worht buying and revisiting. Hopefully this means Capcom is actually going to be willing to give us another entry in the franchise, be it a remake or a proper Dino Crisis 4.
