Yakuza Complete Series

Quite Likely My Favorite Series.

These are some of the best games out there. It's a shame that Like a Dragon and the games that came after in this franchise aren't included, but these are absolutely top tier titles. Amazing stories, worlds, characters, campaigns, side activity, all of everything. These games are just so jam packed with content, you always get your money's worth with any Yakuza title. If you haven't experienced the series yet, get into it.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA

Brings Ys to a whole new level.

WOW! What a freaking incredible game. I sank 92 hours into this one. Played on normal 'cuz that how I roll, wound up getting every achievement except for the Nightmare difficulty run one. Absolutely loved this game. The village development could have possibly been a bit expanded upon, but what's there is great. You don't just advance your own character & party, you also advance thew whole village which gives you extra incentive to explore & see what further advances you can get. I've played all of the Ys games with the exception of 5, & while this one doesn't have the amazing variety of dungeons of some of it's predecessors, it's definitely grown in other ways. Lots of collectibles (more than any other entry), it's one thing in past entries to "talk to every person", but in this one you are tasked with maxing friendship/approval with everyone, the mapping % from Celceta is back, combat is slightly different but easy enough to get back into. Over-all my favorite Ys game. As far as bugs/etc... I played this game elsewhere & don't know if GOG has done anything to fix the problems. On my playthrough I received one crash about 20ish min into playing. I looked up fixes and was basically told to run the game in Windows 7 mode, turn of map shadows, and that's it. I did those two things & I never had any further crashes. I'm not entirely certain that I would have, anyways, but to play it safe, those two quick changes were all I did to have a perfect experience. I played with all other settings maxed out.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA - Ultimate Resource Bundle

Not really necessary...

I played this game elsewhere & got the Limited Edition version because I figured why not. You get to pick & choose when to open which bundle portion of the DLCs from a separate item menu. Personally, I wound up using Laxia's costume DLC (just fanservice, honestly) & Fish Bait Set 1 (not really game breaking, it's just that I did a lot of fishing & grinding the lures was kinda tedious.) I chose to not incorporate any of the other DLCs into my game run. The game is incredible &, frankly, I'm not too upset about stuffing some extra cash into Nihon Falcom's pocket.
