Story is a bit basic but has some fun missions. Expecially when the Klingons have to defend the home turf when the Feds are gone. Playing as the Borg and Species 8472 in Skirmish is always a blast as you rarely get to play as them.
One of the best 4X games availible. Micro is there if you want it, but it's mostly just macro commands. It still looks great after all these years. Warmly recommended.
If you want a casual forgiving city builder then this is the game for you. The game looks nice and runs smoothly. The voice acting is hilariously hammy and I love it. The citicens have funny comments every so often. A negative could be that the maps feel a tad small so your cities "need" to be rather compact. Don't expect anything deep. It's a very casual type of game so if you're fresh of one of the Sierra City Builders and looking for a new challenge then this is probably going to bore you. I had fun and completed both campaign branches in roughly 20 hours.
