They have re-thought some game mechanics, whilst still keeping thoes from HK. There's an inventory system and different abilities but they work and feel differently. The movement is familiar whilst still feeling smoother and more flowing. Another great thing they did was keep Hornet's character from HK but in a fun way: instead of the attacks seen in HK being special abilities, they are instead just a part of Hornet's style. Dash-attacks are simply how she attacks in speed as an example. The bosses are balanced differently: they are more common whilst being simpler and without a clear prize. They are still very fun and good-looking, even though they are hlaf mini-boss half real boss. If you played Hollow Knight or if you didn't, you'll absolutely enjoy this game
