Very old Akella "Sea Dog" since 2000. I was part of the team that ported corrections of this game to English based on errors on the dialogue coding and engine. If you want a pirate game that has interesting quests (some of which are keyboard breaking hard), but rewarding, this is your game. There is no other game that can match the overall atmosphere of this title, even after over a decade. This includes its sequel, "Sea Dogs: To Each His Own". The graphics and engine are dated today, and the control scheme archaic but this is easy to overcome. The few aspects that most modern gamers have problems are the rogue style gameplay (saving is critical), lack of clear directions (no big pointy arrows), and the need to take actual notes on paper (oh, the humanity!). "Do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death?"
