You are El Presidente, a dictator that has his, or hers, own topical nation island. The game has a lot of charm and humor, which you can see all over the place. Gameplay is not made for large scale sandbox playing, instead it's heavily oriented towards the campaign missions, but don't worry, here, it has you covered. The "Modern Times" expansion brings a lot to the table, like new buildings and a new campaign. The campaigns follow a story and you get to do all sorts of crazy stuff including getting (Twitter?) followers and managing a hiccup outbreak. Every person on the island is tracked individually, you can click on them and see all sorts of data and their thoughts. Here you can also issue arrest warrants, bribes, brand them as heretics, eliminate or arrange "accidents". Unfortunately not everything is happy and sunny, there is a lack of micro-management that I believe is necessary. For instance I had a pretty big problem when instead of exporting what I considered excess food, my subjects decided to first hoard a lot of the food at the market instead of a more balanced approach. "Modern Times" times comes with a lot of newer versions for a lot of buildings, unfortunately you're stuck with a pretty inefficient system for the transport of goods, which becomes a bigger and bigger bottleneck as your city develops. Pros: charm and humor. Cons: doesn't scale well for larger cities, lack of some management options. Rating: Have no fear, El Presidente is here! http://pixelloot.com

The second game in the trilogy, is even more beautiful, much like the ladies you get to romance. This game has everything working out for it, except the combat. It doesn't matter if you use "Full Combat Rebalance 2" mod, spamming fast attacks is usually viable and fights are not really challenging, you'll rarely need to use bombs/traps and other enhancements. The maximum difficulty level is "Insane" where "opponents deal very high damage and no saved game can be loaded if Geralt dies"; maybe this level couldn't exist if combat was generally more difficult. *Editors' Pick* Pros: rich story and lore, nice graphics, cool combat animations (made even better with with FCR2). Cons: with some exceptions, combat is not really challenging. Rating: one cat, not sure if the potion or the animal. http://pixelloot.com

There is not much to say, you take part in an adventure by solving all kinds of puzzles along the way. The game is funny, the artwork beautiful, and the puzzles are pretty OK. A really interesting thing is that besides a few instructions in the beginning, there is no written language, so language shouldn't be a barrier. Rating: two nuts and an antenna, now go have some fun! Recommendation: cute puzzle/adventure, go for it! http://pixelloot.com

Very solid RPG that has everything once you install Full Combat Rebalance (FCR) mod that fixes a lot of things in the game and re-does the combat system. On highest difficulty almost all fights will be challenging and you'll have to use everything, from oils and potions to using the environment to your advantage. Some fights might appear impossible but that makes them all the more rewarding. Best combat experience that I ever had in an RPG. Some people recommend skipping this game and going directly for The Witcher 2 but it would be a shame as this is a great game and you get to "live" the story from the beginning. *Editors' Pick*x2 Pros: very rich story and lore, very good mechanics. Cons: quite bad without FCR. Pretty good! Rating: three love potions that only work on yourself. http://pixelloot.com

More of the same good stuff as the first in the series, this game is longer and even more stunning than the first. *Editors' Choice* Pros: beautiful artwork, beautiful music. Cons: easy puzzles. Pretty good! Rating: Trine 1 just took a hit of acid. http://pixelloot.com

You get sucked into a beautiful world where you need to fight enemies and solve puzzles tied to the environment. The fights are pretty basic and the puzzles are a bit easy, probably because they need to be solved no matter how you upgraded your characters along the way. *Editors' Choice* Pros: beautiful artwork, beautiful music. Cons: easy puzzles. Pretty good! Rating: sugar, spice, and everything nice. http://pixelloot.com
You go from solar system to solar system and from planet to planet, and all you do is fight and mine. Well, not really, you'll also upgrade ships and play with all kinds of setups. You're always in action or close to it, and because it's a pretty fun and addictive game it can really hook you up. I'm a bit of a sucker for bright colors and this game provided those in spades in an aesthetically pleasing way. You can customize your universe, but if you choose from a medium one and up, you'll have a lot of grinding to do until the end of the game. Pros: pretty colors, overall fun and keeps you engaged. Cons: it can get grindy. Rating: PEW! PEW! PEW! http://pixelloot.com

Fallout Tactics is only the combat part from the Fallout (1/2) games, and has a lot of it. Here you can directly control a whole squad instead of only your character. Besides "Individual Turn-Based mode" (like Fallout 1/2) you also have two other modes. "Continuous Turn-Based mode" is where all players and characters can act at the same time and the speed at which they regenerate action points is based on agility. Third mode is "Squad Turn-Based mode" where whole squads take turns intermittently. Rating: one subscription to "Guns and Bullets". Recommendation: there are better tactical games out there. http://pixelloot.com

While not very pretty after all these years, it still holds its own as a solid RPG. The game is a bit clunky but you get to live another story in this beautiful post-apocalyptic universe. It's pretty cool how the game is different depending on the character that you play; it can be pretty funny if you build a character with minimum (or close to) intelligence. This goes for all the Fallout games. *Editor's Choice* Pros: amazing atmosphere. Cons: misses some quality of life improvements. Rating: 13 bottle caps and a "delicious" iguana-on-a-stick. http://pixelloot.com

In the beginning, I felt like even a pebble could crush me... if only I had a gun, maybe then I would stand a chance in this harsh world. I met a guy, not a nice guy but not terribly bad either, he had a gun. I started justifying murder in my head, thinking that it's OK to take a life if that would lead to me saving many other. So after a lot of hesitation I did it. But now, doubt and guilt were the only things in my head. This how Fallout 2 is. *Editors' Choice*x2 Pros: amazing atmosphere, lots of stories, decisions and possibilities.. Cons: misses some quality of life improvements. Rating: two fresh Nuka-Cola... and now I'm addicted. http://pixelloot.com
