Graphic-wise this game may not meet the expectations of may people who are used to modern games. However, if you look past the graphics and hone in on literally everything else... then you can discover the beauty that lies within Morrowind. Large open world, immersive music and game-play, open towns and farms to explore. Many, many items to collect and use. And, highly modded, for those who like that. Many mods exist for this game to expand the experience even more. The other nice part of this game is that most likely your computer can handle it easily even if you don't own a souped-up gaming computer, and it still provides you with hours and hours of fun. Do yourself a favor and get this game.
This game is difficult. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you. However, despite the difficulty, this game sucked me in with atmosphere and story driven game-play. Prepare to have captain after captain die on you... But prepare to be intrigued to no end as you seek how to stay alive, or what might happen if you make one decision over another. Also be prepared to be afraid. Genuinely afraid. When you're out on the open under-zee and you turn the lights on your boat off to save on fuel... There is terror. Will you make it to another port? Will you ever see your home again? Are you and your crew lost? What is that sound? This game is designed to push you to extremes and make you both curious and afraid. It is wonderful, and I recommend it highly.
So excited about this game. I've completed the first Season, and am working through the 2nd. It is so very reminiscent of the Power Rangers I grew up with. It's corny, yes, but so were the Power Rangers I grew up with. There are many awesome thing's about this game: It's pixel graphics people! If you're looking for a realistic looking game, this is not your game. If you want to see old-style graphics doing their magic as they did in the old days, you'll love it! Its class style and crafting system are surprisingly detailed. The strengths and weaknesses you have to work around make it more fun. I could go on, but let me mention the few (very few) things that bug me about this game (and i think other reviewers have already touched on them): When buying from the store you can't see what your characters already have equipped, just how that weapon would affect their base stats. That's frustrating, because you might buy a weapon that you don't really need. I wish the Mecha options were more detailed and customize-able, but I can live with what they have as it just looks awesome. Even with these options the game is a solid 4 Star game. It's definitely worth your time, especially if you are able to catch it on sale like I did!
I absolutely love this game, and I was devastated when my hard copy stopped working on newer computers... And then this! This game is very immersive and atmospheric. Great to play with headphones and all the lights out. This was the first Myst game that strayed from the first person only gameplay format. It was way ahead of it's time. If you like solving puzzles while viewing truly epic and artistic scenery then this game is for you.
