Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee

Good ol' days

Like many others I have the nostalgia-googles on while looking at this game. Even if I didn't, the game is still exceptionally well executed, amazing story and an atmosphere that would send any Slender-scared kid running to their parents crying in fear. I remember being scared of moving further into the game, but also intrigued so much by the story and the puzzles that I HAD to continue. The graphics themselves are brilliant, even to this day the game still looks good: This is what happens when you go for a unique style: It'll stick through the ages!

Lucius

Promising concept

The game starts off really promising but ends up being a letdown. It's almost as if the game carries you all the way and you never seem to get stuck for very long, unless you have to get something from the other end of the house. The story opens up with a great plot, the spawn of evil put in a house of power, but ends up flushing it all down the toilet and becomes all about killing random people for God knows what reason. I hated Lucius from the get-go, but that was mostly due to his incredibly nonplussed expression that seems to be stuck on his face. His powers did make me warm up to him though. You do get some interesting kills and the idea is brilliant, it's just a shame that it seems unfinished and the ending like something that had to be rushed in order to meet a deadline. Please give us a sequel with a more free gameplay and a story that makes sense!
