Even on my low-end poverty systems this game runs well and is very pretty. It has been a long time since I played a cell-shaded game and the technique has advanced by leaps and bounds with this one. Problem is, it just isn't that fun. The enemies are idiot savants- absolutely brainless tactically, but by god they can aim and shoot faster and more accurately than Wild Bill Hickok on his best day. Basically- your enemies will either stick to their chest-high wall and occasionally pop out to drop a bullet right into you, or they will stand upright in plain view like bowling pins and just shoot. Constantly. Empty mag, reload, empty mag, get shot. Worse, you can see just how lazy the developers are when you hit the bullet time and can watch a perfectly straight line of bullets emerging from a frantically firing bandit aimed directly at your face. Oh, but occasionally the enemies will run around like a chicken what just took an axe to the brain. I guess if you are a twitchy FPS fan and looking for an over-the-top Western adventure, this'll scratch that itch, but don't plumb too deep- you'll be disappointed by this puddle.

The game is good; despite some rather shitty graphics decisions (dead mechs always fall the same way and completely ignore terrain to lie flat, even if on a 75 degree slope,) and frustration of RNG-type gaming, it is still Mechwarrior and it can really offer some good fun. But the system optimization is fucking AWFUL. Want to play a short game on your cheap 2020-era potato? Hahaaaa fuck yourself; you are going to wait ten minutes for the loading screen to boot up. Every single pixel is handcrafted anew from raw firmament for every game. Anyone trying to play on a budget-tier brick is going to suffer extended load times that stretch into multiple full minutes.
