Ambition: A Minuet in Power

Mostly well-executed, but...

The game is a wonderful idea. You are a professional socialite in a dying French order, with the ability to help or hurt the revolution on its way. You don't throw parties (???), but you can attend them, or solve mysteries, go on dates, etc. Unfortunately, the game is really quite historically innacurate. It has Muslim Arabs in Paris about two centuries too early, lots of characters are out of place, and it is only somewhat (say, 75%) historically accurate to the setting. Lots of minor details snap me out of the spell it puts me under (quality personal mirrors before they existed, as an example.) That said, it is a wonderful game idea. It would almost thrive better in space or an alternative history. As a historian, my desires weren't quite quenched - but it got close!
