I loved Baldurs Gate (1 and 2) and also liked very much the first Pillars of Eternity, but this one in my opinion is a big step behind. Yes the graphic is very nice (better then the first Pillars) but the game is mediocre, the story is just... boring. Also the game is not very well balanced, you'll soon feel a demi-god crushing everybody and everything (at least at normal difficulty) with some absurd very high spikes of difficulty (like the end of Beast of Winter). Wait a very cheap price if you really want to play it. Avoidable.
I think this expansion is not worth. The base game is already great, I feel this "addiction" is completely not needed and not well balanced. The game becomes way too much difficult without improving the fighting system and controls (which are not soo good). I completed the base game on PS4 at death march, the bought the complete game un PC and replayed. Finished the main story (and almost all side quests) but then started this dlc and dropped it. My advice is NOT to buy this, just buy the base game (or the GOTY edition if you find it at same or lower price than base game). Just don't waste your money on dlcs.
