If you're into farm sims like Harvest Moon or casual games like Animal Crossing, this game is for you! It's nice and calming to make your own farm and become acquainted with the residents of the eponymous valley. Plus it being purely 2D means any machine can run it, even if it's a toaster!
I loved this franchise ever since I got into it via 2, and when I discovered it was available on GOG, totally DRM-free, I knew I had to buy this. Especially since now I can play and install however many times I want without getting my legally-purchased game suddenly blocked off by obtrusive and atrocious DRM that only publishers like. The major gripes I have is that it feels rather slow when using a mouse, so I use a controller instead. Otherwise, it plays like a dream. Still wish it would go up to 60 FPS on its own like literally any other AAA game out there, but they can't all be winners. Here's hoping Dead Space 2 arrives on GOG sometime as well.
