Call to Power 2

Call to Power 2

Sigh ... well, it's old, and it isn't all that good.

Tropico

Good old game ...

Old style city builder, before city builders were a thing. Plays like RailRoad Tycoon 2 (if you've ever played it).

Pharaoh™: A New Era

Pharoah/Cleopatra, reborn.

Probably the first City builder ever made, and the best of the bunch, my favorite. With the terrain somewhat expanded (just a little more land makes it easier to build some things) and reworked to play on modern systems. A few new surprises added as well. A classic made new; well done.

Sid Meier’s Railroads!

Sid Meier's Railroads

Decent game. A bit cartoon'ish but ... Dislikes? I do not like how the rails do not 'double up' when you build bridges side by side, nor how you can change/smooth out the gradiants in hills/bridges decently (very abrupt hills, especially on the end of bridges). Improvement could/should be made.

Master of Orion

Master of Orion

Decent space empire simulation game. Decent: starting points exploration types of worlds, each with their own challenges gravity issues semi to strong aggressive opponents diplomacy (decent but limited, more choice preferred) tech tree Turn based but can move along quick enough. Not swamped by the never ending push of an open time game. Always lots to do, especially after many players have developed into lethal opponents.

Lords of the Realm II

Lord of the Realm 2

It is an old, Win'95, turn based game, but it has that 'one more turn' draw to it that keeps you wanting to build and expand your kingdom, rule the map and become the king. A great old game that, except for the graphics, plays better than most modern games of this style.
