Simply Outstanding. This is everything I ever wanted from a modern Doom game.
I first played this as a maybe 13 year old kid on a 233 mhz pc with 16MB of ram. Before I was 14 I had learned what ram was and how to upgrade it. I'm now middle-aged and have had a very fortunate IT career for over 20 years. Truly believe this game was what started my interest in the field and got me on the path. Aside from the history lesson there, this game is quite simply outstanding and only seems better when you consider what it does with the very small computing power it was working with when it came out. Great job Cavedog, thanks for getting this kid started down a very good career path by making me need more ram to play those big maps!
