Painkiller Black Edition

Complete, Repetitive and Utter BOREDOM

The Bad: *Everything! - Shoot until all enemies die (And you don't even need to reload in the process) - That is all. Next area will be opened then. Area not opened? Find the creature you missed. All game has the same type of enemies recycled with a different skin. The chargers that after a while you learn that there is really no need to gun and run from them and you just use your special saw (The painkiller) weapon to mow them down quickly (It even kill tanks faster then bazooka). The enemies who has perfect accuracy no matter where they stand. * AI is moronic and I bet I have seen less enemies get stuck by a small ledge in doom than in this game. * Physics are quanky - At first it is cool and all but after you begin to jump above enemies like mario and shooting them below while they fly to the sky, it will get annoying hard. * No story, no character interactions with anything,,,, Just kill hordes of enemies, rise and repeat. Unreal Tournament 2004 has a better campaign than this game. I am not even kidding. * Hit detection is the worst offender. Unless you pixel perfect your rocket launcher will miss and so does your stake gun. * Weapons - The game just lacks weapons, the expansion offers 2 more but the arsenal is pathetic . How can a game like this that is no more than a shooting gallery have so little weapons??? * Cheap ass deaths - Be ready to hit your quick save button every minute or so. Since the game has nothing to offer it will make you suffer with it's cheap kill surprises. * Too many more things to list here... I will not even bother. The Good: * LOL... If I must think of at least one good thing to say about the game is that it probably had some nice multiplayer action.... But you can't find a game of multplauer for this game. So there's that. The Ugly: * The story and cinematics.... Oh boy.... 'Bad' as word will just not descriptive enough for it.

The Game Just Offers Very Little

The Good: * The game does not take itself seriously at all - And that is why it is not a bad game, even though it got 2 stars from me. * Because of the previous mention, the game is quite funny and you will find yourself chuckling more than you thought you would be. * Animation and art are still nice today so it is not a chore to look at. * The voice work - It's just sooo BAD that it is just GOOD. It's so over the top... It's awesome! * Environment does not hide important items for you! This is a great thing for an adventure game! Since a lot of hours can be lost just looking for that rock that looks exactly like any other rock in the mountain and is a pixel big. This game does not does it, instead it even tells you that there is something there. All adventure games should do it much more often. The Bad: * The music is complete crap - It's feels like it was an after thought and thrown to the game just about they were to release it. Just some sounds clips mashed together... * The story too basic and lack any real meat. Having too little interactions with environment or people is the cause of it. * Conversation makes no sense sometimes because you choose a different order of dialog making the whole conversation process redundant. Don't allow the player to pick dialog options if they will screw up with how a conversation should go. * Items.... 80% of them are not needed and are just there as points to your game score. Think about having 10 items and only 2 are usable it game... Yea... That is annoying. * Small size - The game is small in size... Only few locations to visit with each having 3-4 explorable screens. It doesn't feel like a kingdom at all. * Puzzles and minigames - Some of the most annoying things you can imagine. Examples - learn a special language in game, luck based mini game that you must play large number of times and a few more. The Ugly: * I will mention the music again... So horrible!

Treasure Adventure Game

A True Gem - But Unpolished One

The Good: * Music - It's phenomenal! I could not have played for 15 hours if the music wasn't that good. * The graphics - Although simple, they are very appealing, showing us large variety of things that can be done with this sort of "Old school" graphics. * The ending - Pretty hardcore. For sure surprised me (And will surprise you ;) The Bad: * CONTROLS - Can't stress it enough. They are just not tight for this sort of game. Because of the points below, this is one hell of a bad trait! * Repetition of already done content - be prepare to do sections over and over again because you die a lot. No it's not because you are bad (Maybe...). It's because of the controls. Also be prepared to spend like 10 minutes to go to one end of the map to the other, there is no shortcuts, even if you already did it 100 times. * Save functioning - Save in this game done via "Save checkpoints". It's all good and well but they are too sparse. So dieing in a specific section can be a toll of 20 mi. Each time! The Ugly: * When the game crashes - Boy your face will be ugly knowing you now must backtrack your progress. Also mad... You will be mad.

The Ugly: Dead game is a sad experience for the people who liked them.

Shadowrun Returns

In 1 Word - Disappointment

The Good: * Atmospheric music that fits perfectly to locations and situations. The Bad: * NO CHOICE AT ALL - No matter what you do or what you choose, be it stats or conversation option or perks, It will have no effect whatsoever. So just allocate everything in long range weaponry and burst enemies from afar in one go. * Game is linear as heck - Go from point "a" to "b". Kill all. Repeat. *Yawn* * Story - It's total garbage that even a "B" movie will not use. * Claustrophobic - Each place is so small and insignificant, that it truly hurts. * Lack of animations - Everything is so static. Nothing moves. Makes the word feel dead. Same thing applies to combat animations. God forbid the horrid "Matrix" animations and graphic! The Ugly: * I will mention how bad the story is again. It mega bad. And for a game that is based 90% on text... It's just unforgivable.

Mark of the Ninja Special Edition

Mark of The AWESOME!

The Good: * Graphic style and presentation are of the charts cool. * Replayability factor is so damn high because of how each suit/item changes how you approach each situation. (Also a harder game mode and secret collectibles are present here). * Tight controls. Rarely you will have problems not feeling like a true ninja. * Experimenting is so much fun (Should I hang the corpse here or just throw it on the guards below?). * Too many things to list... The Bad: * Only 1 death animation per specific kill. After a while you will see them all and will crave for more. The Ugly: * Waiting for the sequel... So.. Damn... Hard... Brothers...

Legend of Grimrock

An Excuse of a Game

The Good: * Might have single handedly helped return this dead genre back to life. The Bad: * The following are all poorly done: Combat, spellcasting, inventory management, character progression and pretty much every aspect of this game was badly (Cheaply?) designed. * No music at all. * Lazy level design (Unless dropping you to a room full of monsters that surround you and you have 1 second to react is fun for you). * Lazy puzzle design with barely any hints on how to solve it (Game walkthroughs here I come!). The Ugly: * No plot... at all! * !!! End Boss Spoiler Here (Don't worry... As I said... No story, so it doesn't matter) !!! End boss is a stinky DICE!!! (Not even kidding) - It rolls at you and 1 hit kills you... Game design at it worst!
