It's not a big AAA game, just an Indie top-down shooter with a B-move's story. So don't got big expectations, but it's still fun. You control a tech guy - with weak voice acting - who became the hero. Something is go wrong on Ganymede colony, first you thought is a simple blackout, but soon come weird creatures from the moon core. Which of course getting bigger and bigger. But don't worry, you can pick-up an arsenal of weapons! Oh yes, from standard pistol to chaingun, flamethrower, rocket-launcher and high-tech experimental weapons! You can also upgrade them with the collected points by killling enemies. Of course you got a flashlight to watch the monsters in the darkness. :) Got a few companion passives and actives. The game got a great soundtrack by Ari Pulkkinen. Somekind of techno/remix type with some choir, maybe sound weird but its totally fit to the game. If you love sci-fi and Indie games it's your game! And wait it's stand-alone expansion Survivor.
Don't listen the bad feedback or the negative critics and tests! This gam is fun and awesome. If you a sci-fi fan or like cool adeventure games it's your game! The story is great, very Star Wars like, but keep it original. The score is the best. I say it's got better score than some movies. The characters are also very good and voicing them great and familiar actors Dwight Schultz (A Team, Star Trek TNG), Michael Bell (Transformers G1), David Sobolov (Beast War Transformers). And the special abilities which Gideon learns and advance. It's better than Jedi Knight - I played it, to so I know what I'm talkng about. Of course the game got some negatives. It's crash many times after the Seeker ship attack. And you can't save, the game use checkpoints - another bad point. The graphics not the "state f the art", but looks good and colorful. And it's very short. :( Maybe not the fist but when yu played multple times ad learn Gideon powers you can nearly invincible. And you can read the end "To be continued..." Badly tha game planned a trilogy, but Majesco drop after the negative sales and critics. If you like sci-fi, good stories or great musical scores it's your game! Don't miss it, it's worth 6 $.
Monsters. Nazis. Paranormal. Familiar? In the past years to many games builded to that system. OK, many gamer like that combintion, I find a little boring. But BloodRayne a little more than that, cause Rayne. The sexy half vampire-half human - aka Dhampir - in her leather suit. The gameplay is simple: kill Nazis or monsters in a very linear map. You can use two blades to slash 'em, or shoot 'em one time can terget two opponent - yeah, thats big thing in 2003 - or suck their blood. Gain health and kill the opponent, but careful bosses are defense the harpoon very well. h, and don't works on big, bad, ugly bosses. :) I recomend this to action fans or WWII fans, or who simply love a sexy heroine.
Simply one of the best adventure games ever. It's mixes sci-fi with fantasy, drama with parody, action with puzzle-solving. You play with April Ryan an 18 year girl at the 22nd century, interesting eh? She has weird dreams, she meet a dragon in her dreams. Later meet Cortez who tells her there are two - once one - world Stark the world of science - where she living - and Arcadia the world of magic. Soon she shifting Arcadia then back, both world meet friends and enemies. One of her best friend will be Crown - who is a talking crown - he'll help out many difficult situation. Well, I don't say more. Play the game and found out yourself in your longest journey. ;) The game has an awesome graphics in 2D, all location is a hand-drawed masterpiece. Trust me, they looks better than today fancy 3D environments, it's full of life and magic. The cinematics also a masterpiece, they looks realistic, but you don't feel like other ames "it looks totally different then the game". They are fit to the game style, colors and graphic. The voices are also great April and any other main or episode character has a professional voice. The music is also great, beautiful and atmospheric. You must buy this game if you like sci-fi, fantasy or simply love playing!
I played this since it's released back in 2001 that time I tryed a few RTS, but this game still my top 5 list. The story, the graphics, the gameplay... it's simply perfect. Easy to learn, but not boring to a professional strategist. In one word: epic. You can play four nation in four age... well more. Start at the stone age to the nano age, which means the XXII century. You can play the battle of Trojan, fight with the Black Knight, start the World War II or start ruling the whle planet with russians at the future. The best part of the game is future, when you can build Cybers, giants armored robots! All of them special ability. And the heros, at every age you can control a known or mythical hero. This game is a must have too all RTS fan! I'll buy it for the expansion, which I never had a chance too buy it. so thank you for this GOG. :)
The game is based on 2000 AD comics, more like the 1995 Sylvester Stallone movie. In this game you are the law and no clone brother or the evil Jürgen Prochnov. :) The graphics is so comic style, dark and dirty. And Dredd... well, he is a real though guy, forget Stallone! The game contains story mode with 11 level + the tutorial, Arcade mode with a few intese survival or slaughter style objective. And of course its has multiplayer Deathmatch, etc and co-op. Maybe this doesn't work, since Sierra not support the game. Maybe not the best FPS ever, but who knows Dredd anyway or just like sci-fi aciton games will sure love it. The replayability factor is very good even if the missions are short, 'cause is not to easy complete all missions with Judge Dredd award.
