I wish I could give something between 3.5 and 4 stars to FrostPunk. The game has something great in it, the mechanics are simple, and the story is really well crafted and engaging. I still need to find the correct settings for the difficulty. But : The basic difficulty settings are badly balanced, in normal I keep loosing not knowing what to change (10 times in a row applying a new strategy each time), while in easy, it's a free win. I don't want to think about the hard settings. I understand it could be a game design choice (surviving in the frost must be difficult, so the game must be difficult), but still I don't feel satisfied about the difficulty. And big point here, I play in low graphic settings on a 2000€ laptop, and still, the game is rising GPU and CPU temperature at 90°C and more before I decided to stop the game... the game look great but seriously ! Maybe i'll change my mind about the difficulty when I'll find the settings I want. Maybe i'll change my mind about the optimization with an update. It's Overall a good game, it keeps me engaged even if it has problems.
