This game is wonder.... I can't belive this..... when I was young I rember seeing this this game in EGM (Eletictoric gaming monthly) and see this game in the adveristising in the magazine and played the the 3DO version and pc port.. It was let down back while Amazing than.. the framerate was horrable and the PC version was so much different that I really didnt play it that often beside the modded version to the PC version.. This version is what I expected to be on the 3DO as I seeing it in the AD's and It plays and most of all looks like how I imagined back than... Crispy and clean and smooth.. This game I can not recommand enought for new players and the OG's of the orginal or even new comers.. I would love to see Space Hulk redone this way.. there's alot of love for this Game and it shines and shows through and through.. Great Job!!! Vary happy
nuff said returned .. encouter are the same no matter what... game is getting refounded... the problems I had is thast no matter what the coupmuter puts you on a tier level..while most player wont notices this if player get to a certain degree hogher than the napc you lose all turns.. this likes it more like chess with bobby fisher on the other side.. players cant and wont be able to figure the npc players they treating you like you dumb..every time you enter combat its close to 100% the same npc roll the same and everthing had only 30+ hoours in to this game and noctice as soon you a level higher or have extra skill the computer changes its game play,, vs doing something new.. OG diablo is better or tourch light is better stay away.... because you can change how you enter certain area while this game dosent give you this if your levle 25 at a level 20 zone you will get back lashed as sson as you enter the level.. aways killing your power player because the the game is broke.. enought said..
Love this game from evething.. simply if you want diablo with space ships look no further!! controlls are easy to learn but the game is hard to master I would say arcade action that is more in depth than expected. Lotting can be boring but you useually look for opatinitys to explot vs being expolited all the time and combat can vary from waypoint to waypoint as the game. The game is good at changing how you engage combat vs alwalys with fire power if your a wing commnader fan you decent fan your find your self at home with this one!!
I've played the game around 100 hours and was a cleric lvl 12 notice these problems..and ask for refund for these reasons..Game dosent add bonus correctly or dosent tell you what bonus are stacking or not.Not all classes are repusented like the tabletop game. Computer controlled NPC's know there evermetn better than you do. That leads to to them know and explotes being used by the computer before you can figure them out.. example is that you on computer frist turn might oush you off a cliff right away vs you figuring it out or having that idea. Would be nice if they added a check enverment options in the skills iconsheir really isn't know out of the box thinking in this game like they might want you to belive. Feels like computer chess or checkers more than D&D. The game Almost always rolls the same regradless. This can lead in to prodictable combat that exploits the more player than the computer. An expample is that you might have a NPC player on your team that you'll like to protect but the enemy controlled computer will always attack that NPC even if thier not a threat. You get threated way to easy and most of the game you roll with disadvange and that means you roll 2 dice and take the lower dice as your roll. Game works better with xbox controller than Keyboard Mouse. the level of spell dosent work on keyboard showing you the same spell at level 2 and 4 as with the xbox contoller it shows the difference and it easier to pick the right level for the job vs always casting level 1 when you have 4 heals avaierble NPC players act stupidly in combat and act like their invinsable when the enemy is lvl6 and their level 3 so half the time leads to again an other player exploite were you left to protect the NPC or hope the move diffently in combat next time. Many times did I have to load a game becuase of not enought data on the battlefield and didnt know I stared by a pushable cliff or NPC would run right in to combat with out anythought. poor AI scripting
the problems I have is that not to spoil anything but in tlibertiy city V is no longer the main protegnist instead song bird is... that also takes away from ALT as a master Net runnier.. Also the added match to your level isn't good either you shoould pick and choose how to deal with higher level NPC's Also no duel weapons as stated as an other review on here.. while the game isnt perfect it is better than BG3 read my review as you can improvise your enverment unlike BG3 and find coiver and such that isn't offered in other real time RPG. Personally the game is great and you'll have a great time if your looking for something different than the Elder scrolls sega's. Can't wait for future updates and new area's unlocked!! there so much to take in that its amazing.. while its not for everone its alot better than most games out there but there will be hiccups and such but totally playable experaince and fun too when you can out witt your opnet is so much fun and the abliltys are great too. just fun to play GTA3 fans or Elder scroll fans should feel right at home with this one!!
