Since the release of Fallout 2 in 1998, Fallout series has suffered from a long streak of failed spin-offs such Fallout tactics, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout 3. While mechanic-wise these games were on par with the originals, the plot, which has always been the selling point of the Fallout series, was at most mediocre. Fallout New Vegas finally manages to create the world as atmospheric and immersive as the first two games. The slightly humorous feel of the first Fallout is also present here, with more wackiness in the vein of Fallout 2 togglable at will. Also the plot is nuanced and quite mature. It even outdoes the previous games in choices and consequences department with multiple (and oftentimes more than just 2) solutions to almost every quest. If you're looking for open world RPG with great plot, or if you're looking just for a great game, look no further; Fallout New Vegas is great game in its own right and a worthy successor to first two Fallouts!
