A first person shooter in the world of The Wheel of Time. It is a beautiful looking game and takes you right into the world which Robert Jordan created with his books. Your mission is to retrieve a very important artifact and so your mission is to travel through this world to find it. The gameplay is mainly first person shooter, with some tactical elements, minor exploration and puzzles. The graphics are beautiful and is probably the strongest feature of the game. The controls are similar to other FPS games of the time, but maybe not as refined as the bigger titles. Since this game evolves around the lore from The Wheel of Time, I think players with some knowledge from the books will have a better experience than without. A lot of concepts, locations and story elements are not explained but will surely bring excitement to people that knows about these things from the books.
Back to Twinsun, the story of Twinsen continues, and with new graphics, new controls and a new story, this is one my favorite games. If you ever played the original Little Big Adventure, but never played this, you have missed out on something really good. I can warmly recommend this game. The game takes on a travel through places unimagined, to placed not discovered in the first game, but also it covers places which is familiar to those who played the first game. A must have for adventure-gamers.
Baldur's Gate, with or without it's expansion (included in this version), is an epic story. There are not many games that can match the story of this game at all. The way they unwrap the story in this game makes it so amusing to play, you just want to play it again when you are done with it, and as you play it again, the story usually never become the same one as the previous one. If you are one of those that like to play single-player adventurer-games for hours and can't get enough of it, this game will fulfill your needs for quite some time. Technically the game has very good graphics and music. The interface is somewhat limited compared to it's sequal, Shadows of Amn. Also using the multiplayer feature on this game is not perfect although possible. The multiplayer mode enabled you to play the story-line with up to 5 friends instead of playing with NPCs. The game is better played with the NPCs though, they are part of what makes the game. Since those things draw rating down it ends at 4 stars. The Baldur's Gate series is my personal favorite.
