Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

What makes it goog also makes it bad ?

Completed with only a mythic path. It' strange: I liked it, but most of its stronger aspects make also the game a mess. So, the good ones 1. Pathfinder! gives tons of classes/templates, spells, equipment, things to choose from 2. You can set a lot of parameters regarding combat, because (the game tells you) it will be difficult (true? maybe) 3. Choose between turn-based combat and realtime with pause, great! 4. Huge campaing, awesome.. a lot of things to do, stories, npc to meet; everyone beatifully designed and there's a great number of situations you'll encounter and choices that will make the difference 5. Mythic Paths. Great Idea, very fun to play, very very nice addition to the mechanics/storytelling 6. Crusade Mode. The Idea is a very powerful one, adds another layer onto the game! 7. Companions make the story enjoiable 8. The ending was a nice surprise, it fits But.. 1. Predefined career paths (a way the game is supposed to help you) are not good enough even for default settings; you'll have to look outside the game to find solutions.. why? 2. This cant be a justification for very bad encounter balancing; i have played 3/4 of the game with the settings at minimum (damage to party, no criticals, enemies depowered, etc) because without them it was too frustrating; in a party on real life, a similar effect will cause the campaing to end 3. I played only in turns mode.. i thought maybe this will take a bit longer to finish the game? Now i think.. a LOT longer 4. Ehi, wait a moment.. maybe it has too much things to do? Sometimes i thought "oh, no.. another encounter? please no" and that's not a good reaction 5. Will i ever see all they can offer? For the (4) point, probably i will not often replay the game; a pity 6. Do we needed it? You can disable it or turn into automatic-mode, but this will make you miss (i readed) locations and stuff.. bad 7. They do not leave if they disagree 8. "things back to normal" if you do not maximise crusade results? really?

Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager

Nice but ..

It's a "nice little one". Appealing pixel-graphics and animations. Appreciated mechanics, perfectly in theme with this genre. But "it has its thorns". Big ones for me. Firstable, i still have a lot of troubles making it run: 8 time on 10, unity founded something wrong at startup. (this is the main reason of my stars number) It soons becomes repetitive: playing the 2nd master, it becomes already the same ever and ever. Lastly, if you win or not seems to be determined half by choices and half by chancs. Not for me. So, i decided not to go on to see what is the remaining part of the game.

To The Moon

Masterpiece

This is a game about feelings. For me it's a masterpiece. Abuot the character's ones, and your's if you want. It's just one of the nicest games i ever played: the graphics are suggestive even on 16-biy-like-style, the soundtacks are awesomely fitting the situations, the story recalls to something inside of you. But it's your choice how you want to live it, it does not force you into anything. It lasts perfectly for its purposes. Thanks guys.

Finding Paradise

They did it again

Another masterpiece. The story is as good as the first title, the subject makes you think at least. Gameplay is just about living an experience written for you, and this is just what this game does. The characters are well defined, and all works well. Not sure if the puzzle's part has been a so good choice, but it does not make the game worse in my opinion: could be done without them and work as well, that's it. Thanks again guys.

198X

Straight to the heart

A beatiful experience while doing a trip into the past. Graphics are well done to get you there, story is what it matters. There's no need to make a good game too long, for me: it lasts enough to be appreciated, not too long to be boring. Nice job here, whish there will be more.

Banner Saga 2

Things go even better!

You liked the first ? You'll too like this one! First, storyline is even better than in first episode.. People work together to survive, but still maintain their own objectives. It's difficult to assign on each personality a tag because their reasons don't ever seem totally wrong even if may appear to be very cruel or bad. It seems to me like a book you can write with your hands. Where last words come unexpected, for me. Combat has not changed a lot. More classes and focuses added a lot of variety even in characters that have same class. I'm not really good and in some occasions had to change difficulty setting, but.. it the general feeling was quite the same. In one word? Glorious

Banner Saga

A true nordic story!

I liked the storyline in north-european style. No heroes in shining armor and that never go down. Extraordinary people and their decisions, that bring consequences you may not expect and even can bring one against the others. Your decisions may mean life or death for people out there, and you can care or not but.. that's how it works even in real life. And finally, not all things may be what they seem: wonderful, really. Characters are very well suited in this world. You can understand their personalities but not always completely, and that leaves space to surprises. I liked classes and their abilities. I'm not so good at combat, but if you are not able to survive a main figth you can always change game difficulty. Some of the characters may take some time to be understood, but there's a quite good variety in there! Caravan management? It surprised me in a positive way. Morale issues have been the main cause of problems also in figths: good choice. Your trip through the scattered world won't be easy for you and the people you lead. This game makes you think. In my opinion, it's awesome.
