What can really be said about Rayman Origins? Well, it's a 2D platformer to start, not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination, either. Its locales are imaginative, striking and downright gorgeous in its chosen art style. Its controls are super tight and never let you down, even if you choose to play with the keyboard. If you enjoy platformers, you will love Rayman Origins, I can guarantee that.
I've had this game for a while now and I must tell you, I frikin' love it. It blends exploration, RPG, humour and tactical combat in a very nice way and is a blast to play. Other old-school elements involve having to make notes on the map, to have even the foggiest idea of where you should be going. Many boss encounters also await you, each of them pretty epic in its own right. Giant worms? Check. Even bigger dragon? Check. Truth be told, at such a price, the game is practically a steal and I heartily recommend it to any fan of RPGs.
