Uru Complete Chronicles is an epic journey where very very much of the D' ni culture is revealed and explored. There are many different worlds and ages you will have to visit and some are very strikingly beautiful and other beautiful but also strange and unique. By the time I finished this game I felt it took me on a very long journey of discovery and adventure and I had experienced so many different places. It is truly in every sense of the word an Epic Adventure. ***The puzzles maybe very difficult for some users but there is help on the net in varying degrees of helpfulness.... from Hints all the way to walkthroughs. Many of the best are from www.MystJourney.com and the best video walkthroughs for all of the myst related games are on the YT channel Dilandau3000, he explains the puzzles and how they work as well as some of the background story and D' ni history.
Why not have a game called "Happy Holocaust" ?!? Colonization itself, in reality is responsible for the largest holocaust on the planet, ever. Would you think it rude for people to barge into your house while you and your family are enjoying dinner or whatever? How would you like it if they killed most of your family in front of you and took over your house and kept you locked in a small hall closet feeding you the scraps of food they didn't want.... if they felt like it...? This is a very simplified example of real colonization, I hope it helps some understand teh reality for Native people better. As far as having a game about this, well colonists still cannot bring themselves to admit what they've done YET they will point a blood stained finger at germany and hitler for their holocaust which was horrible but only a fraction of the size of the american holocaust which by the way is still continuing. I wonder if they include owning slaves in this game and shipping them over from africa/other places lined up like sardines so they could sell as many as possible. Why not make a nazi concentration camp game? Would that be offensive? SO IS THIS GAME.
The thing about the Myst series is that while you are trying to figure out the puzzles and collect clues, the environment and artwork is so beautifully well done that you can look around and just enjoy being there even if you are stuck on a puzzle for a while. I have still yet to see games as beautifully well done since the Myst series and the music is just as awesome as the artwork. I Love the Myst games, they're a little fantasy, a little puzzle game, a little bit adventure and all with a great story line and great art. I even have the real book written by the Rand brothers and it's awesome too. They just don't seem to be making them like this any more but I am still looking!
