I'd attempted to play dungeon keeper 1 before this mod and ended up moving onto 2, alongside DK's descendants mostly due to its limited readability. While graphics weren't a huge concern of mine the low resolution was kind of a deal breaker in terms of long term commitment. The new quality of life changes, content and everything else Keeper FX offers is exactly the sort of mirror-sheen polish that I'd recommend to people curious about this old gem.

It's a classic for a goddamned reason, a moment in time where the age old traditions of bioware RPG were put on display with better tech and budget than ever before. With a clever "road trip" layout that allows exploration while keeping the main plot always in sight, and a decently robust tactical combat gameplay that encourages positioning and light character building, along with multiple beginnings for different characters, DA origins its a time capsle to the days when we were all hyped to see a "Triple A RPG"
