STAR WARS™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Don't believe the negativety

With the Patch that fixes the bugs and restores the content this game is literally one of the best RPGs you will ever play, without it it's a bit less than perfect but I ask you this: Where else will you find a game with a story this deep? With twists and turns leading you into some of the most passionate and talented storytelling seen since the Baldur's Gate series? Answer; You wont. Not only is this game huge, it is in-depth, it is well characterised and the writing will suck you in until you're walking down the street pretending that you are a real Jedi, making lightsaber noises whilst walking around your house. Graphically, yes its not the most beautiful game and probably wasn't back then when it was released(I played from release just can't remember that far back) but lightning strike you if you are the sort of person that allows graphics to determine a games worth. This game has more hours and more integrity and more passion and more love for the universe than those horrible prequels anyway. If you are a Star Wars lover or an RPG lover or even a Dungeons and Dragons lover looking for a fresh setting(it uses DnD engine for levelling) or especially if - like me - you are all three then I can almost guarantee you will enjoy this game. Just make sure you turn off the blur effects.

There are technically better games...

Just not many games that are more fun. Where else can you shoot a cat at someone then shotgun their head off whilst they're vomiting only to have the vomit spew from their neck stump and ooze down a slope? You get to shoot many amusing stereotypes in a game that claims it is "Only as violent as you make it" and you will laugh at the mania and start to worry about the fact that you are laughing at it. Also on the fourth day or so there is a marching band, cover the alley in petrol, draw a fuse trail with the petrol then ignite it once the band enters the alley... Enjoy. It rains cats.

Nox™

From what I hear, a good game...

But the only problem is; it wont work, the game seems to run behind a frozen screen, you can hear it but you cant play it. I read on a few forums and this seems to be quite a widespread issue, reverting to a more compatible version of windows doesn't seem to work. If GoG can issue a patch that fixes this then I will give it a more fair review, for now I will review it as a product rather than a performance.
