Thanks to that game now i know there is a spiritual successor of suikoden on its way and i can't wait for it ! Its purpose is obviously to introduce a few characters and the world while giving a little something to chew on for people that are waiting for Eiyuden Chronicle : hundred heroes to be release and actually advertising it for people like me that were clueless about it :D
I'll be honest the choice to have a narrator speaking for every single npc and being omnipresent is really annoying, thankfully you can get rid of it thanks to the game offering this option. That being said i'm really happy to have bought this game, it's nice, fun and really chill to play.
-UI isn't really ergonomic to say the least even with a controller. -Can't switch from buy/sell to craft, you need to close the discussion and talk again to the npc. -The sneaking mechanic is awkward. -Sometime quest can feel really frustrating and poorly writen (go to this remote place to prepare a ceremony and once you're there go back from where you came to craft two things that are necessary ! "couldn't ask you from the start even if i knew you would need it.") and then come back again. -Staging can feel out of place (or litteraly absent) and dialog can be hilarious in a bad way. -Combat system is really boring (probably the main issue i have with this game) Still i like this game, the atmosphere is really good, it's pretty, Talents are original, artistic direction is interesting and seeing the impact of some of you choice is pleasant.
