A big jump forward, SS2 is the protoype of the sandbox FPS RPG. Intelligent, dynamic and challenging. It's still a disturbing and haunting game with tailored RPG gameplay. Great story, cracking music and stellar sound design elevate the eerieness of a mood drawn straight from the best sci-fi.
Takes a little getting used to the system, but tactically challenging.
Such a clever concept, brilliantly devised. A writers game, which pulls you into the world and inside the head of the main character in a charming and disturbing way. Deeply subversive, this game has something of a Pratchettesque "through the looking glass" dynamic. Thoughtful and insightful. A gem.
