Diablo + Hellfire

Known by millions as a great Classic

That said, it's a bit hard to understand how they are charging $10 for a game over 20 years old without even including the Hellfire expansion(which added the monk class(and also the hidden Bard and Barbarian classes) and new spells+dungeons). On Diablo itself, it probably looks a little worse on modern HD monitors. It did have the very fun feature of any class being able to learn spells if the hero could get their stats high enough. It is a flexibility most games ever do not have. This game introduced the multi-part name system for enchanted weapons, such as "The Lord's Axe of the Moon" and had many fun and cool unique items such as the sword "The Grandfather". The point and click combat system works well, with blocking and hits reasonably animated. Exploring is more important than in the sequel, and there is no grinding like for gems/runes in Diablo 2. Unless you want to keep restarting your game I suppose, as enemies do not respawn. I was still finding games online in I think it was 2013, and with the game on GOG perhaps there will be a surge in online play, I do not know. A few tips: Carry some kind of ranged weapon/attack for enemies behind barred openings or across water/lava. Use choke points such as doors. Be aware that different kinds of enemies have different resistances. Buy stat elixirs. There is a simple duplication cheat for those that like to cheat. Fire wall in a room full of enemies is great. All in all it's a great game said by critics to be one of the best of all time, and a great snapshot in gaming evolution. However I have an old disc copy and so I will not consider buying it until the Hellfire expansion is included. I hope that either we can still unlock the hidden classes or GoG or Sierra unlocks them. To the person who thinks someone might quit after a few minutes, I have two suggestions. GOG's satisfaction guarantee firstly.

Dark Reign + Expansion

Sadly Broken

I may have gotten this for free as a sale bonus, but I still feel like I want my money back. GoG is still great, but don't bother with this/these games. I admit, I didn't go far in the campaigns, but that is because of how messed up the game is. Now, I can deal with minor resolution issues or even lagg. Unfortunately there are no minor issues to report, just: ~This game didn't load up with rainbow screen messed up graphics every single time, but at least more than half the times. ~You cannot affect game speed, which is FAR too fast, especially since troops do not automatically retaliate against enemies attacking them.(I tried repeatedly stationing numbers of different types of units in the enemy base, they would attack buildings and let themselves be shot to death). This makes harvesting/building a bit faster but will destroy you in battle. ~The tutorial was an odd mix of insulting and impossible to hear. Literally, looping constantly calling me a dumbass for not doing the objective he just demanded-which at least told me what to do, unlike the extremely loud music and quieter objective voices which are for some reason BOTH controlled by the music volume slider, I could only hear blaring soundtrack and some background talking before(or quieter music with meaningless mumbling). Not Fun. But it's just a simple RTS setup anyway, tutorial barely seems required so this isn't a killing loss. ~The first time I quit this game from frustration(hadn't tried running expansion yet) it somehow killed my taskbar+start menu, fucking up my windows session completely and forcing me to kill the power and restart. Never had that happen before.(today) The graphics problem wasn't every single time(at least with base game) so that isn't enough to stop me, and the hardly intelligible tutorial at least gave enough freedom(whilst insulting your intelligence) to let you see that it's just a basic RTS setup. If graphics ran properly I'd give 1.5 stars. If the speed issue was fixed: 2.5?

Watch Farmers Starve to Death Simulator

Soooo....I've watched everyone die over a dozen times now. I first followed the tutorial. Which taught me that some F+(or clicking) buttons control which menu you select, and learned how to build buildings. Great! The problem then is, which damn buildings do I need?! So over a dozen times I've watched my village, composed of either entirely just fishermen, farmers, or over 2/3 farmers/fishermen all starve to death in front of me. Why? I don't know and the game won't tell me. I assumed there is some way to make this thing work. I was apparently wrong. I don't condemn games easily, I gave it 15-20 tries. But hey, at least a small minority got to freeze to death in the first half-dozen games! Yeah, so I made sure to get them warm clothing. But no matter what, everybody dies of starvation. Wheeeee............ Pros: Older but not ugly-looks alright, especially for something on GoG The little bit I can make work before it kills me, seems fun Cons: You are fucked no matter what

Galactic Civilizations III Soundtrack

Selling the soundtrack for $10?

Ripoff history, huzzah! You clearly have an internet connection, and means of purchasing. I'd suggest getting 5 full albums of music you like instead. Yeah, I didn't buy this. Yeah, not planning to buy it. To be clear: I HAVE NOT PURCHASED THIS PACK-and if you haven't figured out why, try reading above.
