I bought this game thinking it was right up my alley from all the video's I'd seen online, a nice mix of romance of the three kingdoms style strategy game with some dynasty warrior combat action from the combat, just toned down and more realistic. Was I wrong! The interface on this game is terrible, the camera angles and controls are wretched and make things far more difficult than it should be, there is no way to tell where you're looking or aiming at outside of missile weapons. The mouse controls for combat are the worst making hitting an enemy near impossible, compouned by the computer blocking nearly perfectly while you're stuck fumbling as you have to swing the mouse back and forth in a counter intuitive way to block and direct your swings. The tutorial doesnt actually teach you how to play the game, the default keybinds are hard to use as they're laid out badly for usage by the human hand. Do not buy this game unless you want to spend hours or frustration just learning to play it, let alone being good or beating it. reviews saying it takes 40 something hours are a lie. 7hrs of straight tutorial playing and I still dont have the hang of the controls or how to play or where to find anything.
Title says it all, its a good old school grinder. isometric graphics, simple controls, waves of monsters, and tons of classic old school charm.
