I absolutely adore this game! I grabbed it on PS5 after playing it on Game Pass. That's how much I like it... I had access to it for free, but felt like the devs earned another $40 for it directly. The gameplay is like Monster Hunter, Shadow of the Colossus lite mixed with some fun and simple crafting elements that are super easy to understand and follow based on color coding for rarity and the effects translate into gear color too (very cool). The voice acting is superb, the soundtrack is beautiful (Austin Wintory - AC Syndicate, Journey - lots of strings and some really unique instruments used on it), and the story is intriguing enough to push you along through the world to discover what's been going on. It seems very small at first, but really opens up into some larger environments and fights can really get crazy. It's all about emergent gameplay with this one and I had some of the most memorable, chaotic fights with giant monsters that I've had in any game since Monster Hunter. Highly recommended.
