In stranglehold you will mainly take part in slow motion style infused gunfights playing as inspector Tequila, who is probably the most lethal inspector you may ever witness. I found the gameplay to be good fun as you have a neat little selection of weapons you will get to use troughout your journey in addition to absurdly over the top powers including a dramatic dove featuring screen wiping spin. The locations are varied enough even tho you will soon see similarities in the arenas you will find yourself in. The presence of bosses also is really neat as, like Tequila, they have impressively tough skin giving you a little break from mowing down armies of grunts. My playtrough was a little over 3 hours, a short but sweet time that allowed the game to not grow stale on me before it ended. The game also offers a generous selection of concept art and videos you can unlock with points amassed during the story playtrough. I highly enjoyed getting some insight into how earlier stages of the game looked and there is also random welcomed bonuses like a tutorial to realise your own paper crane ! Overall this is an easy recommendation for me but only if you install the "Stranglehold HOR+ FOV fix" available at PCGamingWiki as it will allow you to configure modern resolutions in the game menu itself and modify the FOV which I found to be nauseating by default.
