Let me give you some perspective on monumental work put into this mod pack. I have been playing this modpack periodically througout the development, and coming from original trilogy, to misery, to anomaly, this is what many people did on their own, finally brought to people by people. Let me elaborate, anomaly alone is good base, but many players eventually put some addons on. This could lead to a few qol additions, or a few dozen mods, among which some would eventually conflict, and would need to be patched or merged, which is getting into the weeds of programming. There were some modpacks before(and still are) many of which would be unbalanced or just janky, with guns and attachments not being compatible or gun models looking out of place, and of differing quality. Grokitach and GAMMA community brought quality and vetting of mods, with specific vision and ease of installation(comparatively). GAMMA has game development studio levels of quality, with nothing being out of place, and work always ongoing. All this thanks to many addon developers who make stuff quality and Grok and GAMMA for then filtering addons through personal high standarts and community voting, and monumental work being put into adding these to fit in with vision. And all of this is free. You won't believe how such an old game can look, feel and play this good. The experience of GAMMA. Now up front this modpack will not be for everyone. If you wanted to playe Escape from Tarkov without getting scammed by developeror aimbotted by cheaters, playe this. GAMMA is what tarkov wishes it could be, and you can still get scammed by sidorovich and aimbotted by monolith. For the rest of potential player, first up, it's free*, so go try it! If not, this is quite harsh change of pace specially if coming from "modern" shooters or even original stalker games/stalker 2. The resources are scarce, enemies and monsters are relentless, and you must make the best of what little you have, but if you persevere, the zone is your oyster. You can play and roleplay as anyone, a loner, a bandit, a crazed brainwashed soldier, a peace loving scientist, the list goes on. You will have the opportunity to work different jobs fro different factions and work on your reputation with them. You will hunt monsters and artifacts alike. You will have to engage with monumental crafting system to get and keep guns and armors running, and even food and medkits will be cheapest when you are the apothecary. I can keep going but know one thing: Friction is what helps this world feel real, along with alive system and the atmosphere and locations. So don't be afraid or upset about failing, just take things in at your own pace! And finally, I want to thank Grokitach yet again for this, and I am glad I am part of GAMMA community!
